appWeb.conf and fileList.txt's folder settings are hardcoded to "c:\program files\Mbedthis AppWeb", so if one installs the program to a different folder, the program simply doesn't work.

I've fixed it by manually editing appWeb.conf . Of course, this brings us to another problem - this file uses Unix linebreaks! So I've had to use an external program to convert this file to using Windows linebreaks and only then I could edit it and change the hardcoded folder to the folder I actually installed the program into.

Use wordpad to edit on windows. Works well.

Besides being less easy, that's just asking for troubles. This is a pure text file. Besides, that's not the main bug. Surely you realize most people that install in other folders won't know they need to edit this file (and how).

Since you have knowledge of this problem and believe there's a better way, then why not fix it and submit a patch?

The product maintainers are always happy to receive fixes that will make AppWeb better.

In v2.2.2, appweb.conf finally uses Windows linebreaks. Thanks!

I still wish it wouldn't hardcode the folder and would have PHP enabled by default.
